Welcome
As any seasoned businessperson will tell you, starting a business takes preparation, a huge investment of time, money, and trust. Most importantly, you have to trust in yourself and your abilities. I have spent almost a year working on this business, the ideology behind it, the foundational ethics, what I wanted to provide, to do, and the standards I wanted to meet.
As with many a business journey, these past few months have been exciting and challenging, as I have met with hundreds of interesting, innovative professionals, which has led to some very exciting ventures, which I look forward to talking more about in the following months. I will drop a small hint, that this venture joins the shared values of Innocentia VA Ltd with that of the importance of Wellness in the workplace. I have worked in very challenging environments and high-pressured industries. I have had to make decisions on the spot, that had a very real impact on a person’s wellbeing and safety. Stressful situations, and fast paced environments, causes stress on the body and the mind. If this is left unmanaged, this can lead to burnout, physical health problems and long term, debilitating health issues. I cannot say anymore then that at the moment! I will say that it is super exciting and something that I will be able to offer all clients of Innocentia VA and any business or professional that is invested in managing their health.
I will also be writing and discussing the importance of having a clear, business culture. This is a broad subject, and one that is founded on the ethics and values that a business is built upon and that of the people who work with you, to deliver your services, work with your clients and lead to the development of your business.
This leads me to the exciting news that we have new virtual assistants, to join Innocentia VA Ltd. I am firmly committed to the fact that a business is only successful if you find brilliant people. I have found truly brilliant, exceptional people. The brilliant people are as follows.
Karen, who is an exceptional Senior Executive Assistant. She has worked internationally, at entirely C-Suite level, for over two decades. Michelle has worked with financial institutions and is a data analysis, and a qualified project manager. Michelle is providing specialised skills, that work well for all businesses, whether you’re a SME, a financial institution, or a large corporation. Michelle writes Excel templates that are specialised for the task and the business. She has successfully found large financial discrepancies, managed large-scale data analysis, and evaluated systems for efficiency. Michelle is also a Prince2 practitioner. As such, she is qualified and experienced to manage projects of any size. Her professional accolades and references all state that she is exceptional and truly brilliant, and that she is a huge asset to any business. My original client base, when I started working as a self-employed Virtual Assistant during the pandemic, were entrepreneurs, HNWI, and creative professionals. Throughout my varied career, I have had the privilege of working with creative professionals, who have included artists, musicians and sculptors. I have organised exhibitions, and promotional events, to providing essential day to day organisation. Providing exceptional specialised services for creative professionals, is one of the original services that Innocentia VA provides.
I am very pleased to say that Allison has agreed to join our team, to provide editing, proofreading and VA support services for creative professionals. Allison has extensive professional experience working as a features editor for a well-known magazine, and will be providing editing and proofreading services. Allison has exceptional event management experience, having been an integral part of organising national TV awards, and working with VIP’s. Allison will also be working as a lifestyle VA for our Live service, working with busy professionals, HNWI clients and organising private events for clients.
Our Live, Lifestyle support service, provides a complete lifestyle management service. We will ensure that your dog walker is paid, through to managing multiple households and an international schedule. Lisa will be working with Allison, as a lifestyle VA. Lisa has extensive lifestyle management experience, and has worked with VIP’s and HNWI. She has a very positive and flexible working approach and will go that extra step for clients. Lisa is also a qualified marketing professional, and she will be working with our Work professional clients to offer marketing advice and services, to develop your brand, your branding and create an effective marketing plan. I am also on-boarding other professionals. One of these professionals, has her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and is currently completing her dissertation for her MBA. She has already developed her career to include working with HNWI, whilst working in front-facing roles for five-star hotels to working with estate agents and property developers in London. She is an exceptionally bright person, and she will be working with our clients, who work in the property development field, with architects and estate agencies. We are also onboarding an experienced Property VA, who is also a qualified HR manager and recruitment professional.
I am looking forward to writing further blog posts on such subjects as business ethics, what are these are, how do we define them and their application in an ever-changing business world. I am interested in further exploration and discussion regarding the benefits of non traditional flexible working structures. I believe that the traditional working week, which was designed for men going to work, in a post second world war world, when women were forced to return to the home, is no longer necessary, nor is it productive. Flexible working patterns have been trialled for some time now, and the data has proven that flexible working patterns increase productivity and improve employee retention.
Another subject, that I am interested in, especially in these difficult political times, Should we consider politics when working with clients?
